May 1, 2007. Sunday night, April 29, 2007, about 11:00 PM,
unidentified Ontario Police shot to death Christopher Michael Garcia,
23, near the intersection of Mountain Avenue and 4th Street.
Police were responding to a report of a possible drug transaction, and
Garcia resembled a “suspect”’s
description.
Garcia “tried” to flee, then “reached for
a handgun
in his waistband.”
May 17, 2007: May 16, 2007, near Tujunga Wash and the
Foothill
Freeway, about 6:30 PM, Unidentified LAPD officers killed an
unidentified white male. Police were investigating an early
incident of arson and attack with a sword, when they spotted a suspect,
who fled and then confronted them so they shot him to death.
No
mention that the man had any weapon when shot.
May 20, 2007: May 19, 2007, about 8:35 AM, near the
intersection
of 37th Street and Broadway, unidentified LAPD plainclothes,
undercover, narcotics officers shot to death an unidentified man who
allegedly pulled a gun and pointed it at them.
June 14, 2007: Wednesday, June 13, 2007, about 12:30 A.M., near
100 E. 120th Street, an unidentified LAPD officer shot and killed
20-year-old Detrick Ludice Ford. Police were responding to a 911 report
of a man “wielding” a large knife. When they confronted
Ford, he “charged” at them, refusing to drop the knife, and
they shot him to death.
